Raytheon Wins $63.3 Million DARPA Contract for Hypersonic Weapons Work

 Hypersonic weapon, boost-glider type, is also now developed by Raytheon; shape of the glider is like flattened triangle. Much of the details are not disclosed while Darpa announced this missile is accelerated by rocket and glided to its target.

 Contrast to the competitive concept, scramjet, it is less efficient however, it is relatively easy(?) to make. Most of the countries, investing their power on hypersonic region, studied both concepts for the next generation strike weapon.
